
Dr. Michael Nelson is a board certified orthodontist and a PALS-certified (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) pediatric dentist. He is also a lecturer for the UCLA Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
After graduating from Brigham Young University (BYU) with his undergraduate degree, Dr. Nelson attended dental school at UCLA, where he graduated with honors. He also served his orthodontic residency and pediatric dental residency at UCLA in a unique combined residency, the only one in the country.
Dr. Nelson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. He is a member of the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and is also affiliated with the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Nelson and his wife, Jen, have two daughters and enjoy being close to family in Las Vegas. They love the beauty of the desert, as well as the many activities the area has to offer. Dr. Nelson also enjoys reading, exercising, snowboarding, wakeboarding and traveling.
